• What Does the Data Tell Us This Week?

Anyone can tell you what rooms are on this week’s 777 sale, or you can find them on the official Sandals 777 page. I’m more interested in a different question: What’s the data telling us? This week’s list has some usual suspects, a couple of oddballs, and trends worth talking about.

(New to the 777 sale? Check out my explanation here.)

    The Diamond in the Rough…

The Sandals Grenada Pink Gin Oceanview Room is definitely a highlight this week. This PO room hasn’t had a hit on the 777 sale for almost a year, and that hotel itself hasn’t had an occurrence since September of 2025. That’s a pretty long drought for both. Also, this room wasn’t just the longest absent room this week—it had been gone longer than all of the other rooms combined.

Interestingly enough, the Grenada PO room also shows a bit of a trend. Interestingly, 24 out of 25 of this room’s total appearances occurred during the first 3 quarters of a given year. That could mean we’re seeing the beginning of another active stretch for this room. 2021 to 2023 was this room’s heyday with 18 hits in those 2 years alone, though, so I could be way off base with that guess.

    Value Depends on Perspective

Let’s talk about value. Not everyone is going to have the same definition, and I know that. For some, it may be the least expensive room. For others, it may be the amount of money that is saved by the 777. For others including myself, it’s the percentage saved on something. I’m going to start with the lowest priced after the 777 is taken off.

    The Budget Winner

The order of this spreadsheet does not match the order shown on the 777 page even when you sort it low to high. This spreadsheet shows actual pricing for low season 2027 travel in order to truly compare apples to apples, which the advertised pricing on the 777 page doesn’t always do.

For the dates I used, the Poolside Butler Villa Suite at Ochi is the clear winner. I know Ochi tends to divide opinions, and the NV1 is a frequent flyer on this sale, so I can already hear the eye rolls.

When you look at the Grenada, Royal Bahamian, and Halcyon rooms though, their final prices after 777 aren’t really far from each other at all. There’s only about a $600 difference between those 3 alone.

    The Biggest Dollar Discount

If dollars saved is more your jam, you don’t want to overlook the Curaçao, Saint Vincent, or Antigua butler rooms. The Curaçao KB saves the most at over $2600. The Saint Vincent villa suite with private pool is a very close second. The VFP saves only about $130 less than the KB.

    The Percentage-Savings Champion

One thing worth noting before we go fully into percentages: different islands, room categories, and service levels all have different pricing structures. That’s why the percentages aren’t identical—and that’s completely normal.

Like the least expensive spreadsheet moments ago, the Ochi NV1 room is the winner here. But all of these rooms are relatively close to each other in actual savings percentage.

This spreadsheet should also answer for you that the 777 sale is absolutely not just 7% off the final price as many new to the sale are quick to assume. Every room this week has an actual savings percentage of higher than 15% when compared to its non 777 counterpart for the travel dates I used.

Three Different Winners, Three Definitions of Value

So what does the data tell us this week? Grenada gave us the rarest room, Ochi gave us the strongest percentage savings, and Curaçao gave us the largest dollar discount. Three different winners depending on how you define value.

That’s exactly why I love digging into the numbers. The cheapest room isn’t always the best value. The room with the largest dollar discount isn’t always the strongest percentage savings. And sometimes the rarest room on the list becomes the most interesting story of the week.

When you look at a 777 room, what matters most to you: rarity, final price, total dollars saved, or percentage saved?

  • Hi there!

In today’s post, I’m going to go into detail about the Sandals & Beaches 777 promotions, since a very sizable portion of my content will be about it. All of the screenshots shown will come from the Sandals website, but the Beaches website will have its own counterpart as well.

The 777 sale has had quite a history for both Sandals & Beaches Resorts. It originally started on the Sandals side back in 2018, & Beaches followed not long after. Its predecessor was called the Suite Sale, but it was calculated the same way as the 777 is now. I can’t recall exactly when the name changed, but it was sometime between April & June of 2018.

As shown in the screenshot from the website, the 777 is a 7-day sale with an extra 7% off on 7 rooms. For Sandals, this usually works out to 7 hotels as well, but I have seen them put two rooms at the same hotel on sale for the same time period. For Beaches, it has been varying. Since there are only 2 Beaches-branded hotels currently, they clearly can’t list 7 hotels. Lately, they’ve had 3 rooms for Beaches Turks & Caicos with 4 rooms for Beaches Negril. It may change in a few weeks, flipping so that it’s 4 at Turks and 3 at Negril. This may also change, of course, as more hotels in the works for the Beaches side are added to the website. For both the Beaches & Sandals sides, the room pricing changes at 12 am on Wednesdays.

One thing to note. Sometimes the 777 landing pages take a bit to catch up. If you’re a night owl and are looking at the 777 page at 12:30 am, it might not show the correct rooms. I know this because I’ve stayed up late a few times to get information as soon as it’s switched. The pricing changes on the booking engine pages for each side like clockwork, but sometimes the 777 landing pages lag a bit.

This is an example of a room on the 777 list. It provides the room’s full name and description, the code, and other information.

At the bottom right of the screenshot, it shows a starting per-person-per-night price. 99.9% of the time, this is NOT the final per-person price you will achieve when you run dates, nor is it, in any way, shape, or form, a guaranteed price. Details on that will be coming in another post.

This is a screenshot of the terms for the 777 on the current Royal Curaçao room. It shows the 7-day booking window and the travel window. This is not the travel window to get the price shown on the previous page. Sandals and Beaches both have travel seasons of varying prices. Travel to a given Sandals in June is likely going to be more expensive than in August. That’s something that Caribbean resorts all over do: they use seasonal pricing. The dates shown on this screen are quite literally JUST the travel dates to get an extra 7% off the rack rate.

Underneath the travel window are the general terms. I’m not going to explain them all to you, but I want to elaborate on the first one. The terms state that the 777 is only valid on new bookings. This is only partially true. If you have an existing booking, you can get the 777 pricing added as long as your exact travel dates aren’t sold out, and as long as you’re more than 45 days from arrival. If your dates are no longer available, or if you’re 2 weeks from arrival, they won’t give you the difference.

To truly see the extra 7% from the 777 sale, you need to go to the booking engine and enter travel dates. The top room in this screenshot is the current 777 room at Royal Curaçao. Just looking here isn’t going to tell you, unless you’ve been watching this hotel’s pricing for a while. To someone who’s new to this, you’ll have no clue. Clicking on the blue “Room Details” button will prove it for you, though.

I’m purposely using travel in August 2027 for this screenshot. You’ll notice that the last discount listed says “55% Off Rack Rates And An Additional 7% Off Rack Rates”. This verifies that the extra 7% is coming off of this room.

Without the 777 sale, this room for these dates is over $ 6,000, and this photo shows a spreadsheet I update weekly, since I can’t verify that on the Sandals booking engine right now. The reason the 777 sale makes heads spin so much is that it’s not “just” 7% off. Since the extra 7% comes off the rack rate, it’s a huge amount, just over 18% in the case of this room.

So what’s the 777 used for? It’s definitely not just there to give us consumers a deal. I don’t work for Sandals or Beaches, but having monitored 777 sales and general pricing for a very long time, I believe I know at least 2 reasons they offer it.

The first is to move rooms that need to be filled. Each room on the sale typically has its own travel window, and they usually align with availability in the booking engine. I believe the 777 sale has continued to give rooms that need extra help a boost.

I feel the second is for their internal room pricing. This one is a guess, but it’s a pretty educated one. About a year ago, at Sandals Dunn’s River, I noticed that some rooms had increases while others had decreases. The rooms that increased did so only slightly & have never been on the 777 sale, while the rooms that decreased did so by a more significant amount. As you may have guessed, the ones that decreased did so by more than 7% of the rack rate and were very repeat hitters at the time. They decreased the ones that were constantly coming up in their algorithm or whatever to be on 777, and increased the ones that fill easily without additional help. And I’m guessing the 777’s history is what made them do it.

The best thing about the 777 sale is that it’s stackable with other discounts offered by Sandals or Beaches. This photo is not pricing for the same room I used in the screenshots earlier, and some of these discounts are either not available to a first-time visitor or require certain prerequisites to qualify. But you can see that stacking discounts offers significant savings. In the swim-up club room at Royal Bahamian, which I used for this spreadsheet, you could save 19% with just 777 savings, all the way up to over 34% when triple-dipping the 777 with loyalty and military discounts compared to the non-777 pricing. Which is really what makes heads spin over this sale.

As always, thank you for checking this out! If nothing else, I hope it helps explain why I tend to go nuts on Wednesdays.

  • Hi, everyone!

All photos in this are either directly from sandals.com or compiled with information extracted from there.

There are new promotions coming soon for both Sandals & Beaches, so I thought I’d do a post explaining them in general. I’m going to use the current Summer Sale promotion for Sandals in my screenshots.

When you navigate to the Sandals or Beaches websites, you will see something like this in the banner at the top of your screen. The first one to show is always their current promotion. Right now it’s the Summer Sale.

To get the details of this promotion, click the link in this banner (in a red box in the above photo). That will take you to the promotion page on the website.

Again, click the “see offer details” link. This takes you to the full details of the given promotion. These details are also listed in other various places on the website, but I’m going to use this one because it’s literally right there when you go to the homepage for both Sandals & Beaches.

The first part of this is the booking window. This one is for now through June 8th.

The next is the travel window. This promotion is only applicable for travel through the end of September 2026. These are listed as what I call head-on-the-pillow nights. You’ll probably hear me use this term a lot in the future, and I’m not sure if it’s actually a Sandals term. But in this case, you must have a check-in date no earlier than June 1st and a check-out date no later than October 1st, putting your head on the pillow on the 30th of September, as the terms state.

I switched to a different section of the website to take screenshots of the instant credit & air credit terms, as it’s easier to see than on the main promo page. As you can see above, the instant and air credits both vary by resort. This is normal. Airfare is lower to certain islands, and since Sandals knows this, when they do offer air credits, the amount usually varies. I can’t tell you the logic behind different instant credits per resort or island, but I’m sure there’s a calculated reason, and they’ve varied for at least 10 years, as far as I can confirm.

The final part is the general terms. I’m not going to bore you with details on all of these. But the new bookings part doesn’t necessarily mean so. If you had a room booked at a given hotel and decided to switch rooms, this promotion would apply. Also, for the air credits in this case, you HAVE to book flights through Sandals or Beaches to receive them. If you want to use your points and book directly through your preferred airline, no air credit will be given.

On the main page for this promotion, Sandals is advertising it as their hottest sale of the year. I have a spreadsheet where I log every promotion like this that they run. I don’t know what the promos will be for the remainder of the year, so there’s quite a bit of time and many promos to come that may refute that. They could be just saying that because summer is hot. I don’t know. So far, it has the best value for components among all the promos this year, but I have no way to know if that will hold for the rest of 2026.

I do know that this promo isn’t one to sleep on, especially for Royal Curaçao. The instant credits for every other Sandals hotel are the normal day-to-day ones, but with this promo, they’re increasing the instant credits for that location by up to $500 more than normal. That’s an insane amount, and if you’re willing to book airfare through them, it can save you up to $1,250, depending on the length of your stay. And I can vouch that the air credit currently being offered has not been this high since I started logging promotions in March of 2025.  Before the current one, the highest I logged was only $500. Sandals knows that air is extraordinarily high right now, and this promo proves that they’re actually trying to help with that.

In conclusion, pay attention to the details of the promotion at a given time. Sometimes they advertise the attached free night that is always available for the rooms or hotels it applies to, even though it isn’t new. It’s a normal day-to-day pricing component, but it’s sporadic in what rooms it applies to. Even if they advertise it on the main homepage for whatever reason, you’re not going to get an attached free night in a room at Sandals Royal Caribbean or South Coast. It just won’t happen because that free night isn’t part of the pricing at those locations. Same for the up to 65% off. That’s another normal component, but it isn’t 65% off the final price. It’s 65% off the rack rate, and it doesn’t apply to all rooms across their portfolio. For instance, it applies to most club or butler rooms at Sandals Ochi, but every single room at Sandals Dunn’s River is at only 55% off. It depends. And with that, since they may choose to highlight one of those components in the future, they aren’t necessarily doing something shady if you don’t see it in a given room on the booking engine. Trust me on this: I’ve obsessively watched their pricing components for long enough to know.

    Thanks for checking this out!!

  • **THIS IS THE 2ND OF A 2-PART SERIES. PART 1 CAN BE FOUND HERE.**

With the exponential pricing increases everywhere, who doesn’t like saving a buck in this day and age? I know I do, and it isn’t a new feeling.

When my husband and I first started going to Sandals in 2016, we could only just afford it. So I spent a lot of time doing my homework and discovering how to save there.

In this video, I’m going to highlight the discounts that you can use on a Sandals or Beaches vacation. Some of these will have their own videos later as well, but this will list them all with minimal general explanations. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so I’m splitting it into two parts. The ones I’m going to mention in this part either aren’t on the Sandals or Beaches sites at all or require certain prerequisites to qualify. The first part included all available discounts, even for first-time visitors with no prerequisites.

The first for this part is the Sandals Select rewards program. This is one that’s going to get its own video in the future, so I’m not going to go into much detail here. It’s also not a discount on its own. If you want to sign up, do it even before you book your first trip. You can earn points for the hotel portion of your spend on even that first trip. Those points can then be redeemed as dollars off a future trip. If you have goals of earning your free week, you need to be enrolled in this program to do so.

Another perk of the Sandals Select program is the Loyalty discount. Every resort has a Loyalty & Travel office where you can book a future stay. A booking made at the Loyalty office will come with a nice 10-12% discount.

The next is the Sandals Visa card. This one isn’t a true discount either. But it offers 4X points on any Sandals or Beaches purchase, plus 2X points on restaurant and grocery store purchases. Are there potentially better point redemptions with other cards in those categories? Yes. But if you don’t already have one of those cards, this may not be a bad one to add to your arsenal, especially if you plan on visiting a Sandals or Beaches resort multiple times. Points can, of course, be redeemed for dollars off your trip.

The next one is pretty easy to find on the website, but it definitely requires some prerequisites. I’m going to shorten this to the Military discount, since more people will likely qualify. But Sandals extends it to include military, police, firefighters, EMTs, search and rescue, and FEMA. During Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week in 2025, they also included those fields for a short period, but that was the first year, and I have a few days to wait to see if it happens again.

Rakuten is another discount option. Currently, they’re offering 2% cash back on Sandals, but my memory says I’ve seen it as high as 4% in the past. I’ve combed the website, and I’m not seeing the offer for Beaches, though. I even tried manually changing the destination link, but no luck. This also can’t be used if you use a travel agent, but if you’re going to book yourself on the website, 2% is 2%! The terms state that cash back will be paid within 3 months of the completion of travel. I’ve only used this once, and it was a while ago, but I feel it didn’t take that full amount of time.

Next to the 777 sale that was mentioned in part 1 of this series, the Anniversary Night promotion is probably my favorite. In certain rooms across both Sandals and Beaches, you can get a free night if traveling within 30 days of your wedding anniversary. This discount saves 14-17% when used, so it’s not something to overlook, even on a first-time visit. I didn’t know about this on our first visit, and now that I know Sandals math the way that I do, I know that I could have gotten a 7-night stay for less than the price of our inaugural 6-night visit. It really does work out to a free night, even though the calculations for it aren’t super obvious.

To summarize both parts of this series, there are many discounts available for Sandals and Beaches. And many of these can be stacked to double- or even triple-dip! Paying the full non-discounted price doesn’t have to happen to get to a Sandals or Beaches, and I want to make sure you know it.

    Thanks for checking this out!

  • **THIS IS THE 1ST OF A 2-PART SERIES. PART 2 WILL BE LIVE AND LINKED ON MAY 5, 2026.**

In this post, I’m going to highlight the discounts that you can use on a Sandals or Beaches vacation. Some of these will have their own videos later as well, but this will list them all with minimal general explanations. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so I’m splitting it into two parts. The ones I’m going to mention in this part are easy to find on the website at either sandals.com or beaches.com. They’re also available to you, whether you’re a first-time guest or you’ve been going for 40 years. The discounts I’ll mention in part 2 either aren’t on the sites at all or require certain prerequisites to qualify.

The first is their main promotion at any given time. I’m using the Sandals site for my screenshot, but the Beaches side will look roughly the same. This info is at the top of the website when you first navigate there.

In this case, it’s the Summer Loving Sale that runs through at least May 4th. (I’m creating this video on May 2nd, and clearly don’t know if this promotion will change to something new or be extended and continue longer. It could go either way at this point.)

This main page shows the components of this promotion that Sandals or Beaches is highlighting. Not all of these are extras on a booking, but I’ll get more into that in another post. When they offer any combination of a spa, resort, or excursion credit, you need to register for those. Please make sure you review the terms & conditions to see if you need to register, as you have only a limited time to do so with a given promo.

At the time this video was created, another promo was running called the Curaçao Summer Sale. Since it’s near the end of the promo, this is highlighted at the top of the website. When it first began, it wasn’t there right away. The first time I saw one of these extra promos, it was on a mini pop-up banner thing that follows your scroll on the website.

I call this a pop-up promo only because of how I discovered it. This Curaçao Summer Sale has some serious extras, but since it ends soon after I’m creating this video, I’m not going to go into those right now. This is also the first of these, so I’m not sure Sandals or Beaches will continue with them in the future. The Beaches side of things has one right now that lasts longer than the Sandals one, so it’s entirely possible that these will become regular fixtures.

The third promo, which is also easy to find on the website, is the 777 sale, or Suite Deals as they advertise it. This can be found for both Sandals or Beaches. The looks of the websites for each side are very similar. There are some color differences, though, so I’m going to include screenshots of both just to be thorough.

The 777 sale will have its own post, but trust me, it’s a killer deal. It’s a 7-day offer with an extra 7% off on 7 rooms. If you’re brand new to Sandals, that extra 7% may not sound like much, but it is. It isn’t just 7% off the final balance: The extra 7% comes off the rack rate, which is the ungodly number that most guests don’t really pay. Since pricing components vary by resort and room, it’s impossible to give a general number for how much the 777 sale really saves. But for 7-night stays in the low season of 2027, it’s between 13% and just under 23% lower than the non-777 final price. It’s also THE best discount offered on at least 98% of all rooms in the entire Sandals & Beaches portfolio.

A lot of people have the misconception that you have to book a 7 night stay to get the 777 pricing. This is absolutely not true, and like most of Sandals or Beaches basic pricing components, it only requires a minimum of a 3 night stay. This sale is also stackable with other promotions, and can help you achieve some seriously killer savings on a trip.

The 777 sale is definitely my big thing. Because of this, you’ll see a ton of that content from me in the future.

The final true discount that’s easy to find and offered to even first-time guests without meeting prerequisites is Last Minute Deals. These can be found for both Sandals & Beaches.

These Last Minute Deals are decent savings, as they add a free night to shorter stays to fill hotel rooms. The downside is that they usually only list these for up to 3 months at a time. With that shorter booking window, you may risk paying higher airfares than if you were to book further in the future, so I recommend taking that into consideration. You will also be limited in your room options in these cases, especially right now, when 3 Jamaica hotels are still closed due to Hurricane Melissa. These are offered for 3-, 4-, or 5-night stays, varying by hotel, and offer about 20-33% savings on a given room. These are technically an even better deal than the 777, but you won’t see me pushing them much because they’re pretty restrictive to travel dates. These are also not applicable to every room. For example, the overwater villas and bungalows aren’t usually included, and the Ochi ML luxury room is currently not on offer.

I’m approaching the length limit I’ve set for myself on these posts and videos, so I’m going to cut this here. Part 2 will be coming soon, and thank you for checking this out!

  • If you don’t know me, welcome! If you do know me, I’m baaaaaack!!!

After some time off, I’ve decided to come back to the craziness of Sandals nerding. Well, if I’m honest, I never really stopped.

If you’re new here, I’m Teri, & I’m a Sandals (and Beaches) resorts mega-nerd. Future posts will emphasize that for you.

    Thanks for looking!!
